Hi Everyone!

I want to update my pc, it's 3 years old here are my specs....

Proc - iCore3 540 @ 3.07GHz-3.1
Ram - 4GB ddr3
MOBO - emaxx EMX - IH55M-iCafe
Video - Nvidia GeForce 9500GT
Case - i dunno generic case xD
CPU cooler - GAMMAXX 200
OS - windows 7 ultimate 64-bit
sorry if i missed some, anyway what i want to do is simply update my rig so i can atleast play current MMOs with good Framerates. I don't need super high end PC since i'm more a console gamer anyway. Im planning to up my Graphics card to GTX670 but im wondering if that will be enough or do i also need to upgrade my processor.

pls help me because i've been talking to different people and so far their giving different advice=/

BTW my budget at most is $500 or no more than 600 =)

Well the basic problem is that the i3 540 is an LGA 1156 socket which is a discontinued socket (you can grab a few decent offers from ebay though), but the H55 socket has lost its shine a while ago. The next thing is that you definitely do not want to through a 670 in that system since you will be just wasting your money. The best thing to do is get a new motherboard, graphics card and a decent cpu. For $600 dollars you can get a good bundle. Could you please note your power supply?

That would be a very good solution provided you will keep your current RAM and cpu cooler. You could also add a new tower case just to make sure you do not have any problems fitting the parts in (especially the graphics card), since I don't know if the existing one will be suitable.

Well the 660 ti is faster than the 650 ti, but the price is bigger as well
