Is my response time too high?

I recently exchanged my older display for the HP ZR2330w. I like everything about that monitor: a stable stand, IPS, great dimensions, hub, etc...

But there is one thing I noticed in the specs: http://m.hp.com/uk/en/products/monitors/product-detail.do?oid=5357838.

The "response rate" is listed as "14ms (gray to gray)". But in the description it says that the response time is 5ms!

I read that I should have at least 5ms for gaming.

Should I be worried about this? Why does the document specify two different response times, and which one is more relevant to my issue (gaming)?

I don't trust such reviews. It looks amateurish and doesn't even mention the fact that the spec includes two values for the response time.

So... If you would be concerned - is that only because some reviewer said so, or because the times actually are too high...?

And please tell me what's this all about...

Well... I just played some Metro 2033, and it went fine enough... Nothing has truly changed since the last monitor I had.

Might be that the response time we're referring to is actually 5ms (Google says this as well).

Hm, that's the thing... I'm not sure that it is OK. I'm afraid that I just cannot accurately assess the situation - there might be something wrong and my performance in games might be worsened, but I'm just not aware of it.
