I have been browsing this fine forum for all day yesterday looking at the many posts on AIO "water" vs. the Noctua. I admit I was going to buy the Noctua at the end of the month, but something recently has changed my mind.
The Noctua is going for $75:

The Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme is going for $80 with a $25 rebate (or $55):

The Thermaltake beats the Noctua by 8*C...
The arguments I see in other threads are composed of three things:
1. They whine about AIOs not being a "real" water coolers. I agree, but it can be cotton candy for all I care, as long as it cools my CPU
2. They say the Noctua is cheaper with same performance. Right now the Thermaltake is same price/cheaper and I don't think 8*C is same performance...
3. The Noctua is quiet. OK OK. I will give you that, but can't I slap a better pair of fans on the Thermaltake? And for pump noise I say, "You won't hear it anyway over my maniacal laugh, as I hit 5.0 Ghz with my FX-8350."
The only thing the Noctua had going for it was price and noise. Price is gone and noise is not a major factor (Because it can either be fixed or is to quiet to matter). The thought of the Noctua breaking my mobo isn't a happy thought too.
Am I wrong? Which do you suggest?
P.S. Specs: CPU - FX8350; Mobo - M5A99X Evo; I want to OC that bad boy
