lp231 : Why i use a workstaion motherboard in gaming? its not fit most of gaming requirements..
enemy1g: you say that its ok with x8 x8 config , But i will use it for gaming so a little more GPUs presure , can it handle it ?
And sorry i didnt mention that its for gaming >>
When a motherboard is label as "Workstation" it doesn't mean it can't be used for gaming. If that is true, does motherboard without the word "gaming" on it can't be used for a gaming as well? No. That board is label as workstation because it got extra features, users in a professional environment may find useful like the internal USB plug for dongle keys. Overall almost all current Asus boards are similar to one another.
You had a concern about will dual graphic cards be capable running at that resolution at x8/x8, and the answer for that is yes, it's able to. But like some of us here, there are those who wish that Z87 can run dual cards at x16/x16 instead of being cut by half to x8/x8.
So this is when the Asus Z87 WS comes in, It's one of the Z87 boards that is capable of running two video cards at full x16/x16.
It's a suggested board for you and others who passed by to check out, and that not all Z87 boards cuts down dual video cards setups to x8/x8.
Want to grab it or not it's your choice
