I have a customer that frequently views very large oil and gas maps. The maps are usually around 16,500 X 12,750. We suggested a pair of the cheap 50" 4k displays from Seiki to get the resolution up so you can see more of each map. The tv's from seiki (Seiki Digital SE50UY04 50-Inch 4K UHD 120Hz LED HDTV) only have HDMI 1.4b inputs. We understand the 30hz limitation and still feel this is the way to go. What would be the best graphics card solution to run two 4k monitors over HDMI? The current consensus in my office is 2 x R9 270X gpus or 2 x GTX 260's. Do we really need 2 gpu's or could we use a single card, and use some adapters to get 4k from two ports on the card to hdmi on the tv's? Advice is needed, This is our first experience with dual 4k. Thanks in advance.

I see no reason a single R7 260X wouldn't do it fine... Heck a 7770 2GB or 7750 might even work fine...

If we use a single card what would be the best way to hook up the display's? 1 x hdmi, 1 x display port with active adapter? how will this perform with other desktop tasks like video and office applications? Its great to have help, Thanks!

I have a similar config (1x39in 4k & 1x 50in 4k Seiki). I was going to use two PCs, but would be cheaper if video cards will do acceptable dual 4k output (no gaming)? I have an HD 7870 now setup with w/1x hdmi@3840x2160 and 1x dvi@1920x1024, but wondering if the Display Port would up the 2nd display to 3840x2160 also. Anyone have this setup?
