Solution

Well, what I suggest, would be to get only 8GB of RAM. 16GB is just overkill, only your wallet will feel the difference.

The next suggestion, would be to try an Intel processor like the i5-3350P, or alternately the i5-3570K if you plan on overclocking your CPU. It's more expensive, but you will feel a difference. They're essentially the optimal CPUs for gaming. If you were to go the Intel route, you would need a motherboard with an LGA 1155 socket. Like this one.

You also don't need an 800W PSU. Here are some alternatives: this one is pricier but incredibly efficient, while this one is...

Cut the ram to a 2x4GB kit.

Go with Corsair's HX/TX line of PSUs.

Why in the world would you get a 4170 with that motherboard? Get a 8320/8350.

Oh, you should probably invest in a CPU cooler. CM Hyper 212 Evo.

But yes, everything would work together.

Would you also want some advice on the build? Do you need help fitting within a budget?

If you do, I'd just like to know what you plan to use it for.

As of right now, everything will work together. However if you're only planning to game you can easily trim down the price without sacrificing any performance. Just something to think about!

Nice build!

That's about it for my suggestions. Let me know what you think!

Thanks, I don't particularly want to go down the intel rout because mainly the price of it, but I will take your advice with the 8gb ram, and the power supply, Thanks a lot for your help

Yeah, and there's absolutely nothing wrong sticking with AMD. Like I said, you'll be fine either way!

Have fun with the build!
