old hard drive with new motherboard

Hey im wondering if I can use my old hard drive 2tb in my new pc

I have windows 7 on disk

What do I do to install wondows 7 so it formats the hard drive for the motherboard drivers?

1) Back up any data you want to save from your 2TB hard drive.
2) Install the 2TB hard drive into the system with the new motherboard.
3) Insert your Windows 7 DVD into your DVD Drive (see note below).
4) Boot system from the DVD
5) During installation, format the 2TB drive, clear all partitions, recreate partitions if needed, and install.

Note: Windows 7 licenses are tied to the motherboard it was originally installed on. If this is a new motherboard inserted into an older system. You will need a new Windows 7 license (~$100).

Cheers one last thing not saying im ganna do it but can u use cracked windows 7?

Technical its not illigal in my this case its not illigal what I meant by cracked I meant by can I use my windows 7 disk witchnis legitomatlly bought but just with a diffeent key inside it ive done it for 2 comps so far
