Forgive me if I haven't done enough research but according to me I've searched quite a lot.

As absurd as it might sound but that is exactly what I want. I want to be able to route traffic to my router via my PC to keep tabs on bandwidth consumption. I have a Netgear router which does not support modded firmwares namely dd-wrt or openwrt.

I have a PPPoE connection which requires login. I don't really want to invest in a router right now. So any help would be appreciated.

Short answer is that you'll need to have two nics on your PC. This configuration will require you to set up the PC as a server for everything behind it and have it forward connections to your route. IMHO it may be easier in the long term to get a router that supports what you need since your entire network will depend on your PC and this may slow down your connection overall.
