After installing my New GTX 760 into my PCI Slot, i had trouble getting past the Bios. I've tried unplugging it from the power supply and using the onboard Video Out for the time being. But when it is not connected to the Power Supply, the fans on the card are roaring to life but no output. :(

The Card i was using before was a GTX 550 ti

Below i have listed the specs of my machine.

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-D3H Socket 1155
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.8GHz
Memory: 16384MB RAM Corsair Vengeance(s)
Power Supply: CoolerMaster 850W Silent Pro

From what research i could, The machine should take the card no problem...yet here i am...Please tell me i didn't blow 300 bucks on a card i can't use! :(

If any fixes can be done, let me know so i can get it covered!

Solution
The reason why the card goes full speed without the plugged plugged in is it is telling you that something wrong (power connectors not attached). Have you tried the GPU in another PCI 16x slot? I assume that system worked fine before?

Yes, i have tried connecting both the 6pin and 8pin to the card, but the moment i put either one in, the card kinda goes quite as the fan stop spinning, so i don't know if it is a power issue, I can provide pictures if required.
