I have a Fractal design Define R4 case. Currently it is running with the stock exhaust fan (located on the back of the unit) that came in the packaging. Other parts include an Intel 4670k (haswell) with stock fan, 8 gig ddr3 Corsair dominator paired at 1866 xmp, and a AMD HIS Hd6950. My question pertains to driving down the overall (ambient) case temperatures. I currently have 5+ slots available for additional 120mm fans. I am trying to keep with the silent theme while driving overall internal temperatures down. Now having said that, my only real options (personal choice) are Noctua brand fans. Which fans would be best for my case and current setup? Should I be building a negative pressure cooling system or positive considering the case is sound dampened / padded? Also, would bottom to top or front to back setup achieve better results?

Goal in mind - A good mixture of high performance and relatively low sound.
