i would like to buy a laptop with celeron 1017U processor,is it a good decision???

can a celeron processor with 4gb RAM runs applications like autocad,photoshop,msword,multiple tabs in web browser(multitasking) easily whithout any lag..please tell me your suggestions...

It will run it if it meet the software min system requirement, but not without lag.

Honestly - it's slow. It's suitable for basic msoffice apps and maybe a few webpages. I wouldn't say its suitable for anything like autocad or photoshop though. Only 1.6 GHz and it's a dualcore. :/

Hi,

Personally, celeron processor has always let me down. They are always a cut off of a way better processor. They might work well for a year or two and then go down to a crawl. But most of the time laptops will let you down after 2-3 years anyways.
Come down to what you want to do with it.
Homework, web browsing and watching movies: it should be fine
Gaming or intense work: forget about it.
