Windows updates are a necessary part of computing. They fix exploits that hackers utilize that can steal your information, take control of your computer, etc... Hackers count on people not updating their computers - they are the easiest targets.

I really dont care about security. There is nothing worthy of stealing at my PC,im a gamer :p  (i have authenticators for most games or account lockdown if someone tries to log in from a different IP)

Well, at least try to get some empirical data before you stop updating. See if there is any dip in frame-rates after updates. Find some sort of benchmarking software to keep things consistent.

But I do suggest you keep installing updates. Even though you may think there's nothing important on your computer, if you do any online banking, or use any kind of account around the web, you'll want to keep every part of your computer locked down to keep the nasties out and protect those passwords. So update!

I strongly suggest you at least find some substantiating evidence before turning off the updates.

Just my advice.
