Hello,
The internet usually works well at high speeds, but after an hour or so of using it, I'll be buffering a video, or playing a game online and then all of the sudden I get the red X over the Internet Access icon in the bottom right of my screen. I'm running Windows 7. When I bring open the options it says "No Adapter Detected" or something to this extent.

I have tried
1) Changing the properties under device manager so that the wireless care will not shut off to save power, and set the computer to 'High Performance' under Power Options
2) Uninstalled the drivers for the card, and reinstalled them
3) I do not have AVG or any other spyware protector installed (i heard this can be an issue)
4) I turned off the Firewall & Windows defender, to see if either of these were causing the issue, but it did not resolve my problem.
5) I turned off all port forwarding that I had running, the problem persists

When I attempt to access the internet through another computer, there are no problems, so it doesn't seem to be my router/modem, but either my computer software, or the wireless card itself.

Any suggestions?

Thank you very much

also, what system information would you need?
I'm currently using the D-Link DWA-552 XtremeN and it's probably a couple of years old. Rest of the hardware is relatively new, bought all of the other hardware for the computer over the summer.
