AMD Cool'N'Quiet not in BIOS after Overclock.

As the title says,

I successfully overclocked my FX 8320 to 4.2GHz and I legitimately can't find C'n'Q or C1E in my BIOS anymore. C6 and EPU power saving modes are still there.

Please help.

Thanks.

Hmmm, that is really weird bro, well maybe perhaps you're system just exits it out when you're OC cause you cant do both?

Well!!!

Try loading the optimized defaults and see what that does

or updating/installing a newer FIRMWARE or just reinstalling the same version for that BIOS :) as it could be corrupted or something.. So i mean thats about all you can do

Guess I can't have my cake and eat it. I will load back to optimized defaults then - this is odd. Others I've found have had no problems with it.

If it doesn't work I guess I'll have to update my BIOS.

Thanks for the reply.

I reset to optimized defaults... and it's back.

I have no idea what's going on. I'm going to try and overclock again and if it doesn't want to let me use cool n quiet I guess I'll have to update my BIOS.

EDIT: It disappears when I try and manually set my voltages. Weird!

YEAH i was right... you're board just has that feature.. meaning basically u cant have that feat on during voltage increase/oc so they just made it absent during those circumstances or maybe something weird.. not 100% sure

It can't really be a problem.. that doesnt make sense because this is highly secure onboard software/firmware/whatever.. so i mean i doubt theres a problem.. which is why im led to think its some feature

Which is why it's so weird!

As soon as I set my voltages to manual instead of offset, C'n'Q, C1E and something else disappear. Everything I've found always recommends setting to manual. Guess I'm going to have to find out how to use offset...
