I want to play a game and I checked the system requirements for Dota 2 on my PC and my laptop,my PC has alot better GPU then my laptop but has a terrible CPU. My laptop has a alot better CPU but the only thing wrong is the GPU has 64 mb and the required is 124mb.

The question is should I use my laptop to run it or the PC to run dota

Solution
Neither are great haha.

The laptop has a dual core with a higher clock speed. The desktop has a single core with lower clock speed.

The laptop has integrated graphics whereas the desktop has a dedicated (although pretty poor tbh) graphics card.

The Laptop has 4GB of RAM and the desktop has 2GB of RAM.

Honestly, I don't know what to say. I think you'd have to try it on both to know. I'm guessing the laptop would be better, but I can't be sure. I don't know how taxing Dota is on a GPU/CPU.

You don't need a high-end one, it's just that the one you have is very very outdated. You have a single-core low clocked CPU in that desktop. An i3 which is just a dualcore can perform decently in today's games and they're quite inexpensive. However at that point I'd go with an FX 6300 since you'd need a motherboard upgrade anyway. As for the graphics card you could get a 7770.

Anyway, I understand how it is being strapped for cash the guy was just trying to help so don't bite his head off. :D Those^ are just some recommended ones if you ever do stumble across some spare cash and you wish to upgrade.
