760s in sli at 1080p is solid and i honestly wouldnt recommend crossfire due to theres still some issues need to be worked out imo. What resolution you playing at?

Depends on your goals..
For me i chose the 2 770s cause i wanted 60fps at all times at high-ultra settings which is doing very well so far..With 2 760s in sli he will be set for a long time..Overkill is a subjective word
