Hi all i run an old 775 gigabyte 73pvm board with a q9550 and a radeon 7770 card, its old now but does my fine and funds are tight at the moment so no big upgrading at the moment. Any way i bought my second radeon 7870 card first one was dead now this one does not work any more. The problem i have when i got it , i just plugged it into the board and work straight away even gave me a good bench mark score. the next morning I got up and fired up my pc nothing! the board beeped posted fine fans went to 100/ and no video signal, even booked it into a well known respected shop and they could not get it running on my machine but worked on a newer board. Its a s..t cant afford at the moment for a full upgrade so i thought newer better card should give me a few extra fraps in games, when it was running it was running good.
Ive done everything even have my pc to dual booth now but the 7870 does not display. My working card is a radeon 7770 which is still a new card works fine which is also overclocked on start up in afterburner. Now could the afterburner over clocker effect the new sappphire 7870 on start up or is it a compt.issue with a 775 board and a 7870?
Would love it to work 170euro is better then 400 to 500 euros.
Any advise would be appreciated before i send it back to the shop.
