This week I was playing LoL at 100 FPS, now I play it with freeze's and 30 FPS on lower GFX?

So earlier this week I was on LoL and I was constantly at 90-110 FPS (approx) only decreasing from fights naturally and increasing when passively farming, however now I have freeze's all the time and not only that my FPS is only at like 30 constantly and my load time to get into the game has DRAMATICALLY decreased, like it stutters.. goes.. stutters then finishes and it finished behind my brothers computer where as I used to finish loading (100%) when he was at 35-45% depending on what I had opened..

I have used anti virus programs lots of them, such as Avira, Superantivirus, Malwarebytes, Microsoft security essentials, scanned with all of them found some typical ad ware removed/quarantined it however the freeze's and low FPS continues to happen.

Going along with this is the fact that in other games as well my FPS is lower such as WoW where as I used to play on ultra gfx at 65-80 frames, now Im on 31FPS and it takes forever to load and stutters as well on fair graphics.

Solution

Glad you found a solution, but I wanted to clarify that LEDs should never get hot, at least not the lower power ones you'll find in a laptop keyboard. If it's hot it's due to the fact that the CPU/GPU cooler is directly beneath the keyboard.

My computer is a laptop his is a desktop, and he is at university at the moment and I am at home.. So I'm not sure, tried to NVIDIA graphics drivers because I have a GeForce 650, however it says it didn't find any compatible graphics hardware.. so im not sure if my graphics card is busted somehow..

No, I have it plugged in, also the laptop in the entire time I have had it has never overheated, it sometimes gets hot on the keyboard because it is an alienware so the LED keys tend to get warm, however it has never over heated, and as far as I know everything else is working fine, last week had a sound card issue just had to disable and enable my soundcard after restarting to fix the distorted sound it was making.

Just looked in Windows solutions and I have had 40 errors in the past 2 days, and it says "A problem with your video hardware caused Windows to stop working correctly." and it aligns with when I was playing League of Legends and it was freezing every time, however it has not said it anyother time other than playing League of legends, and even if it is the client, it would not explain the low FPS in other games.
