I currently have an OCZ solid 3, only 60 GB. I never intended to use it for games, only for OS use and maybe some other small things. With my recent purges of playing things like battlefield 4 and guild wars 2, load times can be a bit of an occasional issue on my storage drive.

I want to upgrade to something in the 120 GB range (or more if possible with my budget!) and I needed to know what you guys think would be an appropriate drive, not only factoring in the speed, but reliability of the drive as well. My budget is about $130-$150.

So what can you guys hook me up with? ;o. I've done lots of searching myself but I have very little SSD experience and I'm sure that many of you could spread the knowledge to me a lot faster than what I can do on my own!

what about keeping the one you have now with your OS on it, and simply adding another SSD to install games onto? maybe that'll be an easier setup process and you could get away with a smaller capacity drive for less bucks - or a good capacity that is ALL for games!

I think I might do that instead! Good thinking. I was looking at SSDs online and this caught my eye..

Any good?

edit: I am reading all of the answers, by the way, what is the sandforce controller and why do I want to stay away?

The Intel is a good one, they are reliable.

Personally I would grab the Samsung EVO 120GB for $100 for my OS and run the 60GB for my games.

If you want the extra capacity then for for the Intel.

I would install the OS on the new one as that will be faster than the old 60GB SSD and will make more of a difference in the overall performance of the system.
