My Acer Aspire will randomly shut off and its like a hard shutdown as if i held down the power button.
I can turn it on and maybe have 30 minutes before it turns off, I do not believe it is heat related as I can immediately turn it back on.
I recently had to get my motherboard replaced but they got one that uses onboard intel graphics instead of my nvidia card. I dont know if this might be causing the problem because maybe its not compatible with something. (they are getting one that is supposed to work right)
I have checked the event logs and there is nothing at the time of it turning off, just normal logs and then a log of when I turn it back on plus one that says last shutdown was unexpected. I don't know what to really look for.
Any ideas?
edit: oh and thought I'd mention that when I start up instead of saying Acer like it should it says Gateway... I'm guessing its cause of this new motherboard, no idea though.
