So I'm being a little bit naughty and have changed the user agent on Firefox and changed the settings on Windows Firewall to block all outgoing and incoming connections apart from Firefox, so I'm not redirected to the tether block page of my network provider.

This has allowed me to tether with my phone whilst awaiting a new internet installation, however I am unable to get Flash Player working. I've tried adding both .exe's in the Flash folder from System32 to the exceptions/allowed list, but to no avail. Does anyone have a suggestion to get it working?

Also, I can't seem to get Chrome to connect either. I added it to the exceptions (from the LocalGoogle folder in AppData) but no luck there either. Thanks for looking guys

It might be due to ports not being allowed on the firewall. See the document below for the ports flash uses. Nice idea btw to allow firefox via the user agent (I would use safari just in case someone else uses firefox and security spot the user agent config). Nobody uses Safari, so you should be alright.

Please let me know if this fixes it. I might have to do something similar on our Bluecoat proxy at work soon, either that or a http intercept to inspect this kind of traffic.
