I have around a 2 year old build with 2x Asus NVidia 560Ti's in SLI. MB is Asus P8Z68 Deluxe.

I am looking to upgrade as I can use both these cards in two rigs I built my teenagers - basically adding SLI for both of them.

In reading the charts I see the NVidia 650Ti BOOST as being a very high value for the performance. Would 2 of these in SLI be a significant boost in performance from my old 560Ti's?

Asus card I am considering ($149.99):

At $150 each x 2 = $300, would there be a better option for me spending that type of investment on a single card? Perhaps adding a 2nd in SLI in a year or so as an additional upgrade to extend my system life?

I prefer to stay with NVidia since I am most familiar with them.

I have 16 GB of RAM, OS on SSD, Core i7, plenty of cooling, etc.... Machine if mainly used for gaming but I also do some video editing/rendering.

Thanks for any input.

they are similar in performance but your better of going straight to a new single powerful card. I would also recommend a new psu just in case. for 300 you can get a 7970/280x gtx 760 or 770 if you can find one on sale. all of these are the best choices for the 300 dollar range

Thanks for the quick input.

Going with a single card does make sense - I was just not sure about performance of a single card .vs. two lower cards in SLI. So an NVidia 770 if I went that route should offer better performance than my current 2x 560Ti's in SLI?

Also I have an OCZ 1000W power supply - I was thinking it was a bit overkill when I built - hoping it can handle the 770?
It's this PS but in the 1000W version - for some reason when I link to the 1000W version I get this 850W.....

Thanks again.
