Graphics card driver issues

I recently bought a PowerColor HD7990 for a new system that I previously had no issues with. Upon installing the card, I booted my computer, installed the drivers for said card, and rebooted it in order to complete the installation.
However, Winows failed to start. So I went to a restore point that I had made just before installing the drivers and it booted up perfectly. This lead me to believe that it was time to flash my BIOS to a newer version. So I did that, reinstalled the drivers and Windows failed to boot yet again.
Something about the drivers required to use the GPU are causing it to fail the boot process. What could it possibly be?

My system includes:
1000W Cooler Master Silent Pro
MSI FM2-A85XA-G65 mobo
AMD A10 5800k Trinity
PowerColor HD7990
1 TB Seagate hard drive

Solution
then you could have a driver conflict put in back the old gtx card uninstall the nvidia driver the remove the gtx and put in the hd and install the driver .

I believe that you are going to have to use Integrated Graphics, uninstall the drivers for the other graphics card that you don't have anymore, then install the ones for the one that you now have.

Yes, I was using an NVIDIA Geforce GTX 660. I removed it and put the new GPU in it's slot.
