can i make windows 8 run a bit more familliarly to windows 7 with free or commercial programs

  2. Classic shell like already stated, and instead of using the horrible built in "metro" video playing app, use Windows Media Player, VLC Player, or your other preference. There is also a "legacy" photo viewer built in called "Windows Photo Viewer."

    ok thanks for the idea's also is there any random crashing/major bugs in windows8 and will it run my steam games?

    I have not encountered any crashes of Windows 8 or any problems playing steam games. I play a lot of different games on my pc and Windows 8 has shown no problems running them.

    I have not encountered any crashes of Windows 8 or any problems playing steam games. I play a lot of different games on my pc and Windows 8 has shown no problems running them.

    I personally don't use multiple monitors, but I have seen people use multiple monitors with windows 8 and there's no problems, can't imagine why there would be. It will just be the same as windows 7
