I am building a gaming pc with a amd fx 8350, msi radeon hd 7870 OC, and a MSI 970A-G46 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS. I am planning to buy a msi radeon hd 7950 in the future. Coud i crossfire the 7870 and the 7950?

So i would be able to crossfire with another msi radeon hd 7870 OC? would that do exactly? Would it increase the fps?

yes, two cards the same will work as long as your motherboard is compatible and you have enough power from your psu Some games will see bigger gains than other games. But if you can afford a good single card start that way first it is better than getting a crossfire or sli setup and realizing you aren't getting what you thought you would.
