Hello there, I built a PC a few months back and I was wanting to upgrade some parts but I have OEM and I was wondering if I could upgrade my processor ( Intel Pentium) into an Intel I5. Will this work with OEM and my motheboard (the MSI H61M - E33 W/8 mini motherboard) Also my PSU is a Corsair 450w PSU. Would I need to upgrade it for better wattage or am I fine? Thank you for taking the time out of your day, it really means a lot to me. Have a great rest of your day.

Here is a link to the CPU support list for your motherboard:

http://us.msi.com/product/mb/H61M-E33--B3-.html#/?div=CPUSupport

It certainly does list some i5 model CPUs as being compatible. Provided you are only changing your CPU, I think your PSU should be perfectly fine. You may need to update the BIOS of your motherboard to support certain models of CPU. If that is the case, do the BIOS update before you change anything, or you may find you have to reinstall the older processor to perform the update. Also, verify the CPU you plan to order is on the support list, before making the purchase. :)
What do you mean some parts are oem?

If you have Win 7 OEM you canct change the motherboard , but a processor is fine . Check your boards CPU support list .
If you have Win 8 OEM someone lied to you . There is no such thing , just a home user license that lets you move it to 2 future motherboards

Hard to say if your psu is fine unless you tell us your graphics card too
