im planning to buy ati radeon hd 5570 ddr3 1gb graphics card my psu is 250w is it compatible plz help my motherboard is H-I41-uATX (Eton) motherboard? which is the best suitable graphics card for my motherboard?

You can use any card in that system provided it has the power since your is only 250 watts I would suggest a upgrade to your power supply.
Info on your board

http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/kb/docDisplay/?sp4ts.oid=3942826&spf_p.tpst=kbDocDisplay&spf_p.prp_kbDocDisplay=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c01903990-18%257CdocLocale%253D%257CcalledBy%253D&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken

Also the higher end cards are going to bottleneck your system if you go that route later.

Wow cant belive a card this old wants a 400 watt power supply but heres a link this may help..

Could you provide a link and price for the one you are interested in?

What do you want to use it for?

Do you need a low profile card?

No - just get the 5670 - it draws only 65w max - it also runs on 250w PSUs. Though it's really only good for smaller resolutions and up to high settings in games...

OR buy a 500w PSU and replace yours (way easier than it sounds) - then get whatever video card will fit in your case. This option will work much better for the latest games.

I've got a Dell and decided to upgrade mine to play games too - I used an HD 5670 for the last year on Dell's 300w PSU, then a friend gave me an HD 4890 so I swapped out the PSU. Like I said, this is way easier than it sounds. Just pay attention to what connectors go to which slots.

A 500w+ PSU and an HD 6870 will play everything well up to 1080p, and it will only set you back about $230

With a 250w PSU an HD5570 is about the best you should consider.

Graphics card Authority AND ANOTHER GUY jyjjy are giving wrong suggestions what is this? should i believe them?
please suggest me a good graphics card which is best compatible with my 250w PSU

Frankly there isn't any good GPU which would pair well with an OEM 250W PSU

The 5570 would work with the PSU, at load the entire system should draw about 175 watts according to this, in the long run it wouldn't really be the best option

Just because requirements list a 400W PSU doesn't mean that it won't work, manufacturers list a higher requirement so that people would experience less problems, there are people who run 7750s on 250W PSUs (pushing it very close but achievable)

The obvious safe route would either get a new PSU with a better card (which would be expensive considering your budget), or getting a much weaker Radeon 5450/6450 which just about works with most low end OEM PSUs out there

Thanks friend I can be of no help to you at this point you can install what ever you like Was only pointing out that the card you want to install may in fact take down your system it may run for a short time it may not even turn on but your power supply isn't on the high end of things being that said and my years of experience since the mid 1990s more gpu cards then you can shake a stick at from the old days of trident and voodoo cards to the first ati cards and the tnt cards from NVidia I will not suggest a card or anything to a op knowing it may cause system damage. You have a good night or day sir!
