not sure whether the USB port can be repaired, but if data on the drive is more important than the drive itself, you'll need to save data first. if the drive is physically broken, you need to find a data recovery firm to help you, which of course will costs a lot !
well, if it is just logically damaged, you can fic the data recovery problem with data recovery software like eassos recovery free.
after all of files are saved, you can find a repair center to get the frive repaired.
Thank you. And yes...the data is more important. I am NOT very gadget friendly but my son sat on the cord and broke the port. It is now inside the hard drive so the drive itself is ok. Now as for this data recovery program, you said it's free? Well where do I get it and how do I install it if the drive cannot be connected to anything?
