Hi,
Bought 1 CM sicklemaster fan for my Cooler Master Storm trooper case. I want to mount these fans on the side. The screws that came with the fan are about 2 times too thick to screw into the side of the case. What size of screws will I need. Also, anyone else who has done this, is it possible just to wire the fan into the mobo or will I actually have to plug it into the power supply also? Thanks.

is it a 120mm CM fan?..most 120mm fans have the same standard size screw to fit the fan,the screws can be hard to screw in sometimes coz they tap a thread into the plastic as you screw them in,yes you can connect them to a fan header on the motherboard, but without software or a fan controller they will generally run at full speed, which sometimes can be to noisey

Thanks. I just used other screws. Screws are flat and far far too big
