Hello! I know this question has probably been asked a million times (I've searched) and I can't seem to find a solution to my problem so I'm looking for just a little bit more insight because i'm not too computer savvy to be honest
Anyway, I just bought Battlefield 4 a few weeks ago and my frames are terrible on low-ultra and very inconsistent (avg between 20-35)
Here are my specs:
AMD FX-8120 Zambezi 3.1GHz Socket AM3+ 125W
8 gig RAM
new radeon r9 290 GPU
I also have windows 7 64-bit and did a little research and managed to unpark all of my cores

Solution
What is the exact brand of your PSU?

What is the Average fps in the game on the various settings? From LOW to Ultra.

Also don't unpark the CPU, the OS knows better then you do when to do it properly.

that's okay no worries

Unfortunately I was wrong anyway and it's 600W I believe but when I opened up my case there wasn't even really a sticker on it to specify it all the way so I may have to dig a little deeper and open it up because all it says is QC and then there are a few stamps saying it passed testing

Although my temps never seem to go exceed 70 degrees for my GPU
My motherboard is at 40 and my CPU seems to be hanging around 68 with all the cores hovering at around 55-58

yeah I know about the unparking I just didn't know what else to try so I gave it a shot anyway for some reason it's working now?! I overclocked my CPU only slightly up to 3.4ghz and then uninstalled the latest driver then reinstalled it and for some reason it's working now (I seriously don't even know why but I'm not gonna argue)

but thank you guys for the help and for your time

Yeah, you're going to have problems. You have a cheap, no-name piece of garbage psu. You're using it to run a top-tier card and you just overclocked your CPU. You completely ignored the most important question in your whole thread: What brand is your PSU? That was the cause of the problem then and it will be the reason your computer fries later.
