Last year I had a rad 5770 worth 150 bucks, and on black Friday tigerdirect had a rad 7770 go on sale for 150. So I bought the 7770, and sold my 5770 on ebay for 150. I broke even on a 20% upgrade!
This year its looking like that 7770 is really only worth around 70 bucks... Think there will be any cards (and I prefer NV, but the radeons a typically more bang for buck) that could yield a similar situation this year? maybe a card currently running 110 or so that may get deep discounted to 70 or 80. I'm already planning on blowing 300 or so on a new bear bones kit, otherwise I'd not be looking to just break even upgrade again.
Think I can luck out again or was that a one time deal?
