Hi,

I have a HDD with two partitions; "C" for Win7 and program files and "E" for User Data.

I'd like to move the Win7 partition "C" to a SSD and then use the whole of the HDD for Data "E".

How do I go about;

1/ Moving the 100GB "C" partition to a SSD
2/ Extending the "E" partition to completely fill the HDD (once "C" has been moved obviously)
3/ Connect the disks on my MOBO to ensure everything can find the right disk ( I seem to remember having to do something when I moved my User files to a new partition so that Win7 could find them ok?)

Thanks!

1) Backup everything.
2) Make sure your backup is ok.
3) Clone your C partition to your SSD.
4) Boot from your SSD. (Change your BIOS setting accordingly.)
5) Make sure everything works as it should for a few days.
6) Expand your E partition.

Also, to fully utilize a SSD, you need to set it to AHCI or RAID mode in the BIOS. If it´s currently set to IDE, you need do that AFTER altering your registry.
