There are two computers I'm interested in with my low budget and each one had one of these CPUS and both with 8 GB DDR 1600.

The: AMD FX-6300 And The: AMD FX-8100

I only have enough for these two computers but I was wandering which of these CPUS would be best for video editing with something like Adobe Premier or Sony Vegas etc. and working in a DAW

EDIT: Both the Computers with these CPUs in them are running at the same price.

Here are the two computers:

CTTurbo you have a point. I'll probably ask this question once more to see if anyone else has any thoughts on it but after looking around the internet more myself I found sites in which they said FX-6300 outperformed the Fx-8100.

Actually a difficult question, I don't know enough about how well Adobe Premier utilises muti threading but the FX-8100 is an 8 core processor but it using the older architecture to the FX-6300 (which is a 6 core) and each core is slower clock. The FX-6300 will handle single threaded applications faster, and it's performance per core is better than the fx-8100.... but then the 8100 has another 2 cores at it's disposal.

So it's a hard question... what's the price difference?

Avoid the 8100 like the plague. It is a Bulldozer FX CPU. These often perform worse than the old Phenom's they were intended to replace. Only go with a Piledriver FX CPU. List below.

Only consider these FX CPUs: 4300/4320/4350/6300/6350/8320/8350.

The best bang for buck out of those are the 6300 or 8320.

Also what other components do those PCs come with? Applications will also be dependent on that.

the FX-8 with its additional two "cores" would give you better video editing performance (see the link below) but if you are just doing occasional video editing then its doubtful you would see a big real world difference between the two CPUs.

The is an EASY question with an EASY answer. The FX 6300 is by far the better processor. The FX 8100 has absolutely TERRIBLE single core performance. What's the point in having a bunch of cores if they're all slow as crap.

The FX 6300 will outperform the FX 8100 in everything.
