Hi, Can anyone tell me how to connect to wireless internet? My dad's laptop says that wireless is switched off but there is no switch on the laptop to do this and the function key does not work I've been told that you can go into a programme to do it but don't know what I'm looking for

Hi there,
No, he didn't turn it off. He went to us but his laptop last but when it loaded it had wiped his wallpaper as well as google chrome. He can connect to internet with the cable but cannot get wireless to function as it keeps saying it is switched off. He does not have a switch on his laptop to turn it back on and the function key does nothing
