No contact to monitor over GPU

Hi guys..yesterday I had a sudden BSD while playing a game,after that my screen was black but I could hear the windows music in the background..I checked the cables everything was ok.Then i pluget the cable in to the motherboard intergrated gpu and it worked..What could that be..is my gpu dying?..the fans are working and the green light on the power plug is showing...any help?

What gpu and how old is it?

Hopefully it's just a driver issue. Do a complete uninstall of the driver and install the latest one from Nvidia/AMD

It's a asus gtx 760 oc edition,its not even 2 months old,how can i install them when im on the internal gpu?

Just install the drivers as if nothings wrong with the pc. Then reboot with the monitor connected to the graphics card.

Just to let you know it was the gpu..I got a new one from the warranty,but I still don't understand what could have cause it to break.
It was just 2 months old.
