Hi

I've an Acer AO751h and the screen is driving me mad. I don'y know why but lately the screen goes black and I can't see anything. It appeared that when I lower it then open it back again I can see the backlights, signal for me that the screen is doing good. Seems like some kind of bad contact. Anyways, if someone out there can help that would be great.

PS: maybe not clear, my apologies, english isn't my first language :)

No, I haven't been clear "it lately goes black"--> "whenever I have to move the laptop and accidentaly touch the screen". It's not software but hardware issue.

Ok, after 1 hour of taking apart the whole laptop and figuring at the end that it was the screen only concerned, I managed to unclipping the plastic covering the screen. Now the good news is that my screen is working again but the weird thing is that I didn't do anything beside taking off that part, I mean I didn't touch anything else.

Edit: well I guess something isn't working, lowered the screen to test the "Sleep" pulled it back and I had the black screen. I'm taking apart the entire screen.

My guess is that it was marginally disconnected. Fiddling with it caused it to connect a little bit more.

I'd verify that is actually fully connected before putting it all back together.

Yes, but now I have the same problem, and I still can't see where the problem come from, which wire could be in cause.

Ok something new. Whenever the screen went black I unplugged the laptopso it would turn off. The fact is that there's some wire between the screen and under the keybord and just on top of the power plug. Could it be that this wire is in conflit with the power plug?

Whatever it is after the whole process the screen is quite more "responding". If it goes black I just touch it for it to come back to normal. Not the best solution but it's better than nothing. Thanks for the support guys.

Mmh reviving this thread a while after. So the screen is completely broken now.
I was wondering if buying a tablet and connecting it to the laptop for it to be acting as the main screen would be possible?
