When i start my computer in normal mode all I get is sound

I just went from a very old monitor to an Lcd one and now when i try to start it in normal mode all i get is the sound like its logging in and everything seems to be working fine I just can't see anything only way i can is if I start in safe mode

does you computer havea vga or hdmi port? if so, attatch your computer to a eternal monitor. I also have had my monitor burnt out, and the easiest solution is to remove he screen and install a new one.
