Hi!
A few months back I bought myself a gaming pc. At the start all was fine and good but a few weeks ago one of the fans in the pc started making a very hard to hear whining sound. The sound gets louder and louder with time and then i tried restarting the computer. Then the sounds was just gone.
After a few hours it happened again . . .
So recently I have grown very annoyed of this habbit since it happens at random times, after I have done random things on my pc (but mostly during gaming or right after)
Can you guys help me? =)

Specs :
CM trooper
amd fx-8350
xfx radeon 7970
silver power 650m (modular)
kingston 120gb ssd
2 tb seagate
cm seidon 120v water cooler
Corsair SP120 Quiet Edt. 120mm (instead of the stock fan on the seideon)
+ the fans that were on the kabinet from before

additional info :
I have not build the pc myself. I bhought it from a website called komplett.no that you probably have already heard of.
The only modifications that i have made on it is switching the front fans so that they are facing forward (and not sideways)
and finally i installed the seagate hdd myself.

On beforehand thanks for any help =)))

Oh by the way
Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place or somthing like that.
I have been lurking the forums for a while but I have not created an
acount before now so this is my first post =)

what motherboard? try checking the temps or use openhardwaremonitor to see what your temps are. fans speeding up is cause of heat and after gaming makes sense. maybe one of the fans isn't screwed in good, and when they ramp up, they vibrate. easy to take off the side panel and listen for what fan it is when it's doing it, then loosen or tighten it. The fans on my seidon can rattle like hell on full if tightened too much, but 1/16th of a turn of the screw and they're dead quiet. huge difference.

Oh sorry i forgot to post which mobo i have xD
I have the m5a97 from ASUS. The temperatures on my cpu never exceeds the 40's-the early 50 degrees and the graphics card is around 60. The fans not being screwed in well enough could very well be the issue.

I dont think that it is the water cooler because as I said I swiitched the stock fan

i have the ASUS m5a97 r2.0 and i hear a whining, squealing sound whenever i plug it into the CPU CHAN FAN port on the mobo (for me its the middle in the set of 3) I plug it into the chassis fan port, and have some of the other fans connected to the PSU. but no matter what when a fan is connected the MOBO makes the noise, im certain its not a mechanical issue with the fan as ive tried all the fans in that same port! try disconnecting anything that is plugged into the CPU CHAN FAN spot labeled on your manual
