no bootable device

Solution
Well that nails it. It's a new hard drive so you have to install Windows on it to make it bootable. If you don't have recovery discs you'll have to buy a copy of Windows then download & install the correct drivers from your PC maker's website.

If you are getting this error at startup then insert your OS Disk and try repairing your computer.
Repair option is available while re-installing the OS. if it doesn't works then format your system drive.

Thank you I figured as much I was hoping to maybe be able to download a copy of windows to another computer I have the license key number on my laptop to windows 7 I just dont have the disk, to another computer and then hook up a USB cable to my computer and get it to install it that way from the other computer I know confusing but it probably wouldnt work right? I would just be better off buying a new CD?
