Best recording software

You can use the free version of Fraps but you can only record in 30 second increments and I think your recording gets watermarked with a Fraps logo, I believe(very annoying). The license was about $30.00 and comes with unlimited record times, no watermarking of your recordings & lifetime updates(very pleasing).

You may want to get a destination drive to record to. A high capacity spindle HDD because Fraps will be spitting out 4GB files left and right if you are recording in Full HD. You can eat up that SSD in no time.

Your CPU should do just fine

Thanks for your reply:)
How much of a resource hog are we talking? I know intel cpu's like yours are probably better for these things. Oh and do I have to pay to register with fraps to do this?

Thank you:) I have an USB3 portable hard drive connected which I will use. I know my SSD is small and I will be buying a new 240gb model when finances permit. I want a new PSU and an AMD 280x graphics card first:)
