id say you will be happy with game performance for atleast 5 years and feel the need to build a new system at about 7 when i7's become obsolete. but there is no pc you can build that will not do that.

I have seen people with i3 processers, gtx 650 and 8 gigs of ram, and they can use that build for a couple more years. I wonder why this build will only last a year?

Do not get crossfire 7990s. A single 7990 is already crossfire 7970, so you're basically doing quad fire 7970. Anything past 2-way crossfire scales very badly and is just a waste of money. You're better off at SLI 780 ti.

The psu is extremely overkill.

How long it lasts depends on you your definition of "last." It can last a really long time if you're fine playing at high, then med, and then low.

If this is a gaming rig, then almost all of this is un-necessary. Getting more expensive parts will not make it last longer because it will all get out-dated.

I only got the crossfire 7990's because 4 sli titans were a bit expensive. i have saved up for a long time to get 4 sli titans. I have ordered 4 sli ready titans about a week ago, and have gotten the titans yesterday. I have put them in this build.

4 way SLI titans is a horrible idea, even worse than crossfire 7990s. A single GTX 780 ti, which is priced at about $700, already beats the a single Titan, which is priced at $1000, in games. Furthermore, as I have already said, 3-way and 4-way crossfire/SLI is a waste of money because it scales so badly.

As an extreme gaming rig, you have wasted tons of money.

I haven't wasted too much money. One titan beats the 780 ti any day. On this website (http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-TITAN-vs-GeForce-GTX-780-Ti), the titan got 9.6 while the 780 ti for a 9.5. Read why. Should i switch back to the 7990 crossfire, or get a 780, or a sli, tri-sli or a quad sli. I know my grammar wasn't perfect in the last few sentences.

That website is so stupid. Maybe you should try looking at some actual benchmarks from a good website like this one: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-780-ti-review-benchmarks,3663-4.html

Look through every game. The 780 ti beats the Titan in every game at $300 cheaper.
What I would do is return all of your Titans and 7990 and go with 2-way SLI GTX 780 ti. That should be more than enough for any game at the cost of ~$1400.

Then instead of that LEPA psu, this psu would be a much better option: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/seasonic-power-supply-platinum1000
1000w is overkill even for SLI 780 ti.

And finally, socket LGA 2011 is stupid for games. You can save so much money by going with LGA 1150 and still get nearly the same performance in games.

It was a good thing that i had a warranty on both of these gpu's. I will return the quad sli titans and the 2 crossfire 7990's to get the 780 sli. Should i get the 780 ti sli or the 780 sli. After some research, i found out that i can get quad sli 780(or 780 ti). Should i get that or the sli 780 I don't know the difference between LGA 2011 and LGA 1150. Can you explain it to me? the 1000w won't be enough for this build. i need about 1400w.

-I would go with 780 ti SLI but I would wait until the aftermarket coolers come out on those. If you don't want to wait, SLI 780s are a good option as well.
-Never go past a 2-way gpu solution because going 3 or 4-way will have diminishing returns.
-LGA 2011 is for the more enthusiast workstation build. The processors are motherboards are expensive but the processors are 6-cores with hyper-threading. As of right now, games do not use over than 4 cores so LGA 1150 would perform practically the same at a much cheaper price. Even going with an i7-4770k + Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H would save you tons of money.
-1000w is more than enough for a 2-way SLI 780 or 780 ti build. Normally, even a good quality 850w psu is fine, but I only suggested a 1000w so you can do any upgrade you want.

I will get the gtx 780 ti sli then. This build is for gaming, not a workstation. I would of gone for that mother board, but i wanted a 3960k instead of a 4770k. I will go for that psu you recomended since it is 1000w and 80 plus platinum certified. Can you recommend some gaming peripherals for me? I have a budget around $500-$600. I can go higher if you want.

Yes, since this build is for gaming and not workstation then socket LGA 2011 is a complete waste of money. Stick with socket LGA 1150 and go with the cpu/motherboard listed above.

Hitachi doesn't make good HDDs. I would stick with Seagate and Western Digital.
The WD VelociRaptor is a rip-off. Stick with a Western Digital Blue 1tb.

For peripherals, do you need a headset and speakers?

Can you recomend good ssd's and HDD's? I will have a $1000-1500 budget around them. I do need a headset, and speakers. I also need up upgrade me mouse and my keyboard. For all of those, by budget will be around $2000
