My main reason for putting this together was to play Battlefield 4 on my 1080p projector (about 110" screen). I also have three 1600x900 monitors that I would possibly want to dabble in tri-monitor gaming. I would play other similar games and do Microsoft Office work as well. But the main focus is just a 1080p-capable BF4 machine. I hear AMD is optimized for BF4, and the free game code with R9 series seems like a perfect match. I was looking on the sites, seems like only XFX and Sapphire cards are giving away the code?
I was leaning towards the XFX 280x because of the lifetime warranty. Any opinions on how legit this warranty is? I would just like some opinions on which R9 280x series card would be best. I think 290's are out of my price range. Is the free game code bundle worth it if I plan on spending $60 anyway? Or are there better cards to be had that just aren't doing the promotion.
