BEFORE DESIGNING PLEASE BE SURE TO READ BELOW

Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: Maybe will buy on Black Friday, but don't design it around Black Friday deals.

Budget Range: 400$-800$ USD

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Video Editing, Homework, Web Surfing, Movies

Are you buying a monitor: No

Do you need to buy OS: Nope, got a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg and Amazon (Amazon preferably since I'm a Prime member)

Location: Florida, United States

Parts Preferences: Don't mind if it's Intel or AMD. I'd like the GPU to be Nvidia though (I'd like an Asus DirectCU II Card).

Overclocking: Nope

SLI or Crossfire: Nope

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: I'd like the case to be either a BitFenix Prodigy M or BitFenix Prodigy in White. I'd also like the PC to be SILENT!!! I would like it to have Corsair AF(120-140) Quiet Edition Fans. I will be doing a large amount of Rendering, and photo editing on this PC. I would like a SSD for a boot drive (Doesn't need to be anything big), and probably a WD Caviar Black 500GB. If you have other ideas please share!

Thanks a ton!

Solution
If you are gonna be doing video editing you might want an i7 4770k and use the integrated graphics. I went with 8 gigs of ram you can get 16 if you want but for light video editing wait until ram is cheaper. You can also add a cheap dedicated GPU if you want. You can save 100 dollars if you take out the SSD and spend it on something else. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/26P9U

Honestly, I would drop the SSD for now and go for a GTX 650 ti boost because some video editing programs can utilize cuda cores.

I concur. An SSD is nice but not necessary. I run windows 8.1 off a hard drive and I have very quick load times. Money spent on the SSD can go towards a GPU like real chaos said above. Instead of a 560ti I would recommend a 7870 Ghz edition as it is cheaper. The bitfenix prodigy is a great case, I almost did a build in it for a friend, but is also expensive. Cases are all personal preference so that is your call.
