ethernet cable wont fit in motherboard

Hello i just got the asus m5a78l le motherboard and when i went to put my ethernet cable in it wouldn't fit, so if anyone knows why it doesn't fit please let me know thanks.

There appears to be an RJ-45 jack on the back, so maybe something else is the issue.
