i am critically low on storage in my OLD computer, im wondering how i can find out if it can handle more storage. i don't really know any system stats either but im running windows xp with 2 gb's of ram, with an intel cpu and what looks like a gigabyte motherboard

If you computer has USB ports then you could try an external hard drive for added storage. I'm guessing if this is an old computer then it probably has IDE connections on the motherboard for hard drives and CD/DVD drives. If you open the computer you can tell whether or not it's IDE by looking at the data cable. If it is IDE then the data cable will be wide and flat (usually has a red stripe along one edge). If the case has room you might be able to add another IDE drive.
