Okay ive been having this problem for a while now, im using my internet and im watching an hd video or im downloading something. Randomly my router disconnects but not entirely. i troubleshoot the problem and it says theres nothing wrong with it, this is super annoying. So i just went out and bought a new router thinking it would fix it cause my other one was 5 or 6 years old. Sadly no, its STILL HAPPENING! Please any help would mean a lot, i have windows 8 and a netgear n300, also i have TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless N150 adapter Thanks

That is a good wireless adapter and with a new wireless router, I would look at what wireless radios around you are doing by using the free app inSSIDer from HERE. You may just need to change your wireless channel to avoid other nearby networks. Also, insure that your router is set for N only and WPA2/AES security.

What model router?

Understand that HD video is bandwidth intensive and not well suited to wireless though, so you may need to explore wired or powerline options if HD streaming or gaming is a key concern.

If you have NO nearby networks, you may be able to channel bond to get faster speeds, but it does not work if you have any nearby networks.

With wireless, things change unless you live out in the middle of nowhere. If one distant neighbor decided to channel bond on 2.4GHz you might as well forget it. Is your new router dual band, you may have better luck with using both frequencies.
