Very strange issue her, hoping someone can shed some light or point me in the right direction.

Once a day, and only once a day, my computer will randomly crash and show odd pixels on the screen a few seconds before it completely dies. After it crashes once, it does not crash for the remainder of the day. The next day it happens again.

Additionally I would like to note that the motherboard gives me a "could not boot system" a few times before I am able to log on to windows after the crash.

I've exchanged video cards and the problem still occurs. My guess is it's either the motherboard or the CPU, however I have a difficult time believing it is the cpu.

Any pointers would be appreciated.
