I would like to know what components to get to complete my setup for the best performance as the two components that I have already bought are the strongest. So far I have: XFX 290 GPU and intel 4770k CPU.
I need a motherboard, power supply, SSD, DVD-ROM, RAM and after market air cooler and a case.

Should I run 16 or 8 GB RAM?

I plan on using the computer mainly for BF4. I already have a monitor. 24" - 1920 x 1080.

Also, I have heard some rumors that some 290's can flashed to a 290x. Can I tell if that's possible before I get the system running. Are there specific versions that only can be flashed to 290x or certain serial numbers?

Yes I would like to leave that option open down the road so a board with dual PCI for GPUs would be nice.

How do I know the 290 will fit in the case and fit on that motherboard? Also... Are you sure that PSU will support dual 290s??...it's only 650 watt....also I only want air cooled.

With that cpu and this mem. you'll only need 8GB. Yes the case can handle 2 290's, I highly recommend this PSU you dont want to skimp on the thing that feeds your PC. Picked 2 SSD's the OCZ for your OS they are the fastest SSD's, The Samsung are the best SSD's overall for some games and frequently used apps.
3T of Mass storage should do it up nice its a seagate barracuda nothing else needs to be said.
You just can't miss with an Asus mobo IMHO they make the best mobo's Gigabyte close second.
The cooler was rated @ 4.5 out of 5 stars with over 400 ratings Im thinking your gonna be pretty happy with it.
IF you have any ?'s Ill check back around 11:00

You may want to say this up front, 2 x 290s, the PS needs to be a bit larger of course, I would look not at anything less than 850W to 900W. The FD ARC case will fit anything in it.

I also wonder that. I think a 850 watt would be a safer choice.

With a promo code the 300r comes to 64.00 compared or the 500r which is 140.00!!

Is this an obvious choice on getting the case that is half the price right now or should I get the 500r for better cooling?

Also, thanks Envy, I might look into a 1000 water. Any recommendations?

I have a 300R and love it. I don't have any complaints with it but if I had more money to spend on a multiple GPU system and the case then I'd get something better. And better means more options for the build. The 300R is great but some watercooling systems will have issues with this case, but the 500R doesn't have any limitations.

The 300R is great but make sure the water cooling system you like will fit. And many Corsair models are loud so you'll have to replace the fans....no big deal..but more $$.

As for PSU, I'd buy Seasonic and XFX any day. A 1050W PSU is about same cost as 950W one, so I'd feel better about having one that I'll never have to worry about (lacking enough power) and the XFX one I linked is extremely efficient and made by Seasonic.

Both Haswell certified, 300R looks good the differences in them are minimal I don't think the extra airflow is worth another $60 bucks both have the same amount of fans. both can fit a water cooler in the case though 300r its reccomended the Hi100i. both have plenty of room for dual GPU's.
