I want to run 4 monitors simultaneously off of one graphics card. I've been open to buying any card that will fit that purpose. I hear almost anything can run 3 displays, but getting the fourth display can be hard. I'm going for 3 monitors between 19" and 25" and one 1080 TV. I will be using the card for gaming, but will probably only use one monitor for that purpose.
I looked into a 7850 a while back, but then I heard it will only run 3 displays. I'm also reading a lot about active and passive displays for a card or monitor which makes no sense to me. A link describing what I should be looking for could help.
It would be much easier if someone could tell me which card I should buy within a $150-300 price range that will actually run four monitors and can be used for gaming.
