I recently went into my BIOS and overclocked my i5 750 from 20x to 21x. All seemed well, i had it up to 2.8 ghz and was running a bit hot. Now, i thought that it was running pretty hot for that cpu (around 72-73, i dont have water cooling, i have a stock intel crap fan) and i cant downclock it. I go into bios, see that it is already on 20x which should be 2.66 ghz, so i press save, ok, exit and when i get to windows, i go to cpu z and my clock is on 2.8?! and the funny thing is that turbo boost sometimes gets it up to 0.4 ghz more, up to 3.2 which means that it is on 2.8, not 2.6. So, what do i do, is it actually on 2.6, as i am sure that turbo boost doesnt get it up to 2,8 as it would fall down to 2.6, but it doesnt.
